Was it ice cream (hard ice cream scooped by hand)? or "soft serve" (extruded from a nozzle)? We loved the many soft serve treats we had in Japan and some in very odd settings, like an ice cream shop inside of a giant auto parts store (AutoBacs). Crazy cool flavors, like "rose." My fave was a grey-colored confection (and I was was warned by the server "NOT licorice!")--it was kurogoma (black sesame seed). I can get kurogoma -flavored shakes here in Seattle at Katsu Burger!
The Tokyo ice cream shop looks like something that IG user: tokyobuild would re-create.

I actually thought it was one of his models when I saw the image!
I'm going to dream about that ice cream stand.
It was dreamlike. I just stood there mesmerized.

It was soft serve. We love the Hokkaido milk soft serve in Japan. Not too sweet. We had the black sesame ice cream in Kyoto and it was amazing!
Hey Mark, I think you need to add a zero onto the number of copies sold in the last story.
You're right! I corrected it on the website. Thanks, CopperThumb!
