The latest issue of David Wahl’s excellent Baffling Cyclops newsletter introduced me to this new book, Magic Papers: Conjuring Ephemera 1890-1960. It has photos of 250 self-published magic trick newsletters and pamphlets from an era when desktop publishing was 100% analog. I’m an inept amateur car…
